In this month of Elul, the underlying revelation is the Mercy and Favour of God. This will be a time when God draws near to us in His mercy and favour.
This will begin a time of entering into the field with the King. No longer looking forward to the prophetic fulfillment but established in the place of God’s assignment. So often we can focus on the journey and the process and forget to stop and smell the roses. There will be a new fragrance of the King’s Presence as He approaches and we will enjoy Him as the Kinsman redeemer.
The book of Ruth will also be very relevant this month. We will come back to the place of our assignment, having gone through a period of brokenness where it seems our dreams have been dashed and the relationships we thought would bring fruitfulness have resulted in barrenness. There will be a renewed desire to return to Him and enter into a place of rest. In this place of rest, we will find ourselves in His hand as He reworks the dreams and relationships that have been broken, and He restores our soul. Then will come a season of increased prosperity regarding God’s purpose being fulfilled.
As Ruth went to glean at the edges of the field she was invited to gather at the threshing floor where handfuls were left on purpose. The plans and purposes God has for you are to do you good, to show you favour.
Ruth 2:14-16: ‘And at mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come here and eat some bread and dip your morsel in the wine.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed to her roasted grain. And she ate until she was satisfied, and she had some left over. When she rose to glean, Boaz instructed his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”’
“Go down again to the potters house” Jeremiah 18:1-4 – look up these Scriptures! This will be the prophetic call to you. God has an appointment with you to speak His word over you again and activate His fruitfulness in your life.
There will be special favour upon the prayer of Jabez, 1 Chronicles 4:10. Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.
As you speak this out, blessing and enlargement will come upon you and the coming year will be a year of increase, fruitfulness, where you regain what has be taken, where you rule over and subdue your entrustments from God. There will be a new authority to govern and bring the order of heaven in your place of assignment. The three areas God will highlight will be your family, your ministry and your community.
The Hebrew letter for this month.
This is the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet depicting that this will be a time for God’s details to be disclosed to you and to pay attention to the still small voice: it will recommission you to be fruitful and fulfil all He has spoken over your life.
The tribe of Gad is significant during this time, and speaks to us of overcoming and restoring what has been taken. Be prepared to receive back what the enemy has taken as we enter this last month before the Hebrew New Year. There will be a divine decree released: “Give it back”! Health will return, along with finances and fruitfulness as the King enters your place of assignment, the sphere of your Influence.
There is the sound of abundance that will correspond to enlargement and fruitfulness. Be alert to the new sounds from heaven that will usher in increase and activate the prophetic word which has been held back.
I am praying for your increased fruitfulness during this time of Elul and for the year ahead that you would see the promises of God fulfilled in your life.
